Maria A. Karpov, DMD, MS

Dr. Maria Karpov is a board-certified orthodontist with advanced training in functional orthodontics, occlusion, and airway-focused care. She earned her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also completed her orthodontic residency and received a Master’s degree in Oral Biology.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Karpov is deeply committed to continuing education and has completed advanced training in functional occlusion, bioesthetic dentistry, and the treatment of TMJ and orofacial pain. Her approach emphasizes long-term health, stability, and function — not just straight teeth.

Dr. Karpov has taught clinical orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania for over ten years and serves as a guest lecturer at New York University. She lives in downtown Manhattan with her partner and three children.
