We are proud to offer goop-free, full digital impressions with the new state of the art iTero® ElementTM Scanner. Digital impression are more comfortable and also much more accurate. The scanner takes an incredibly detailed impression of your teeth and gums. Once the scan is complete, we will then have a 3D model of your mouth that can be used for diagnosis and treatment planning. Digital models can be submitted to the orthodontic laboratory instantly, and we can get Invisalign and other appliances back faster than using traditional methods.
SureSmile Technology
Unlike conventional treatment, which relies on plaster models and X-rays, the SureSmile treatment starts by providing us with a detailed 3-D computer model of your teeth. This allows Dr. Karpov to plan individual tooth movements and root positions. SureSmilerobots then customize individual braces archwires to match your treatment plan. SureSmile orthodontic technology enables us to create more accurate treatment plans designed to move your teeth to their correct position more efficiently, thus improving the quality of your treatment results and cutting your total time in braces.
Digital Radiology
We take digital low dose radiographic images. In some instances cone beam CT scans are indicated, which capture precisely accurate 3D views to analyze teeth, roots, TMJ, airway, and sinuses without magnification or distortion. All CT scans are evaluated by licensed radiologist.
Mounted Model Analysis
Plaster molds of your teeth mounted on a special instrument that simulates the movement of your jaw ensure optimal final results. This allows Dr. Karpov to check for discrepancies between the position of your teeth.
3D Printing
In-house 3D printing allows Dr. Karpov to create custom appliances the same day digital impression is taken. We print models and make clear retainers the day of braces removal. We are able to print TMJ splints for patients with TMD.
